Foreman compares a draft to your last fifty and, on agency plans, to every other profile in the workspace. Identical text across accounts is what gets people flagged.

- What is the Upwork MCP?
- A server Upwork launched on 10 August 2026 that lets AI tools work with the marketplace directly. It is free for every Upwork client and freelancer. Foreman connects to it the same way Claude or Cursor would, through a standard OAuth sign-in on upwork.com, and adds the parts a chat window cannot have: memory, a pipeline, a team, and metrics.
- Does Foreman see my Upwork password?
- No. You sign in on upwork.com and authorize Foreman there. Foreman holds a token, encrypted at rest, which you can revoke from Foreman or from Upwork’s own account security page at any time.
- What happens when I run out of credits?
- Drafting stops; everything else keeps working. Your feed still scores, your pipeline still tracks, your inbox still syncs. Credits reset monthly and purchased ones carry over for a year.
- Can my whole agency use it?
- Yes. Each person connects their own Upwork profile, owners assign which profiles a business development manager can work on, and every proposal is attributed. Foreman also blocks a draft that is too close to one sent from another profile in the same workspace, which is the pattern Upwork flags across accounts.
- What if Upwork changes its tools?
- Foreman asks for capabilities, not tool names, and re-resolves them against Upwork’s live tool list daily. If a tool disappears, the one feature that needed it turns off with an explanation, and the rest keeps working.
- Do I need a paid Upwork plan?
- No. The MCP is free for every Upwork account. Freelancer Plus and Agency Plus give you more Connects, which is a separate decision.
